18. Determine the mean of each set of numbers. Express you answer to the nearest

hundredth, if necessary.


To find the mean you must add all the numbers and then divide the amount of numbers in the set.


a) 0, -4.5, -8.2, 0.4, -7.6, 3.5, -0.2

To answer this question you have to add all the numbers up...

0.4
-7.6
3.5
-0.2

Once you get the answer then you divide the amount of numbers there are..




THE ANSWER FOR a) 2.76667




b) 6.3, -2.2, 14.9, -4.8, -5.3, 1.6

10.5


Then you divide the answer by 6..



THE ANSWER FOR b) 1.75
