Kim's Textbook Question 2.4

16. c) Nadia is applying two coats of the paint to an area that is 4.6 m by 4.6 m. How much paint will she use if she applies the same amount of paint for each coat? Express your answer to the nearest tenth of a litre.

First I multiplied 4.6 by 4.6 to find the area.

Then I multiplied the area by 2 because she's applying two coats of paint.

I then divided the area by 10 because in question 16. a) it says that 1-L can of paint can cover an area of 10 m².

Nadia will use 4.2L of paint.

  1. Awesome post Kim. I like how you used pictures to show you work. The pictures were very clear and easy to read. I realy like how you explaned your work aswell because it made it a whole lot easier to understand. I also like how you answerd in a sentence and how you used a bolder font to make the answer stand out.

  2. Nice post Kim! I liked how you used pictures to show what you did. I also liked how you included a simple sentence to let us understand why you did this. Next time, insert some colours to important words. Anyways good job !
